Half Demon History:
In a land not to far from the wastelands in Genocise, There is an area practically void from all life. No one has really given it a name, but most refer to it as the Shadowed Wasteland. A land covered in a shadow of death barring it from all except a few exceptionally grand adventurers. In the midst of the Shadowed Wasteland is the Fallen Mount. Here is the home of most demons in Caenyr. The adventurers that do make it to the center of the Fallen Mount are given some gift by the Demons dwelling there. Most women who make it are given a child of demon blood as a mark of their accomplishment. However, it turns into a curse; thus, most Half-Demons are abandoned at birth. When nearing death by old age (Differs depending on the race of the non-demon parent), a Half-Demon will usually feel compelled in some form or fashion to return to the Fallen Mount. It is almost always ignored, but it is said that they at least seek out a pure-blooded demon to put to rest their demon half. All Half-Demons feel a strong urge to destroy life and if they do not they must quickly find a substitute.

Half Demon Subspecies

Half Quasit Demon History:

Half Quasit are the half breed offspring of full blooded Quasit demons.Quasits are small humanoid demons with horns, wings, and a tail. They are crafty, intelligent, and curious demons most often using their skills as spell casters or spies for larger, more powerful demons. Quasits can also change their appearance, shifting into other creatures. They use this ability to play pranks on mortals on the Common Plane. They use their magic knowledge to open portals between the realms, to bring chaos into mortal lives. Most Quasits keep their fun to simple pranks and foolery but some Quasits with more sadistic minds use their abilities to breed with mortals. These few Quasits find it their biggest sauces in bringing Chaos to the Common Plane, releasing their spawn unto unsuspecting mortals. The Quasits who turn to this extreme trickery take great care in their plan, taking a long time to ensure the prank will work. They use mortal forms and spend months, and even years tricking their victim into a false love, and as soon as their deed has been done, they leave back to the Fallen Plane. The unsuspecting host continues through the pregnancy, unaware anything is wrong with the being inside them. From birth, Half Quasits bring chaos with them. They tend to be extremely unmanageable as children, constantly looking for ways to cause trouble. As adults the childish games are no longer mere nuisance. They use their love of deceit and foolery to harm others. They actively try to aim their skills at destroying the lives of regular mortals.

Appearance:

Half Quasits can vary greatly in appearance but all have one thing in common. Like their full demon parents they are smaller than normally humans, normally no bigger than a half ling. Their skin can be an array of colors though most have either a bluish or greenish tint to their skin. The hair of Half Quasits are normally a darker shade of their skin color. Green half Quasits have dark green hair, blue Quasits have dark blue hair, and so on. Like most half demons, Half Quasits attain a more demonic appearance as they age. In childhood they look like a halfling with odd skin and hair colors, as an adolescent the appearance or horns begins. Upon adulthood the changes to appearance can vary. Some will develop wings, some will develop tails, others will just get another set of horns. This difference in appearance can make it hard to distinguish Half Quasits from many other breeds, as they can look like a half dragon, or a variety of other demons. The only difference being their small stature.

Behavior:

Half Quasits are much like their demon parents in their behavior. The thrill of pranks is not lost upon them. As adolescents the pranks are normally harmless, irritating at most. It is as adults they graduate to more harmful pranks. They lay out elaborate plans, all in attempt to cause great havoc, or even ruin, another mortal beings life. They enjoy causing turmoil and chaos like no other creature on the Common Plane. Because of their stature, Half Quasits do not make good warriors or fighters. They are better suited for magics and spying.

Recommended Classes:

Because of their size, it is EXTREMELY rare that a Half Quasit would train in any mêlée class.
Assassin, Rouge, Sorcerer, Wizard, Druid, Soul weaver are the recommended classes.

Recommended Gods:

Most Half Quasit follow Drigen for his love of deception, as deception is the largest part in the Half Quasits tricks and pranks.
Some choose to follow Raekhan for his love of destruction and chaos, as Half Quasits often use pranks as a way to destroy the lives of others, and bring chaos to the world.
A few will choose to follow Jaerik for his love of knowledge and curiosity, as Half Quasits pride themselves on being smart and they are also very curious creatures.
A few decide to follow Karissa for her love of Manipulation, as they use manipulation to pull off many of their pranks.
Very few may decide to follow Melivar for his love of Misery, as the misery their tricks and pranks cause brings some Half Quasits great joy.

Alignment:

CE,CN, NE. Most lean towards CE evil though.

Half Glabrezu History:

Glabrezu are powerful demons who tempt their masters to ruin with promises of great power and wealth. Unlike many demons, the Glabrezu can not gain access to the Common Plane on their own. A mortal must summons them, usually in an attempt to satisfy their own greed. Though similar to Succubi and Incubi because they tempt and corrupt mortals, they do not use physical pleasure to achieve this. The mortal, usually human wizards and Itheril priestess', summons the demon in hopes of making a wager. The demon promises wealth, power, and respect like no other mortal has. In return for these unworldly gifts, all the mortal must do is accept the gift of a demon spawn. To mortals blinded by greed this is a small price. A half demon child for undreamed power and riches. By the time the half demon child has reached adulthood, most will have killed off the surrogate parent. They are greedy, power hungry, and insatiable in their lust for conquest.

Appearance:

Half Glabrezu normally have very human bodies, though they tend to have a bit more muscle mass than the average human. They tend to be tall and broad, built for strength. Skin tone can vary greatly, most often taking the appearance of the surrogate parents. As most Half Glabrezu are the product of an over ambitious human wizard, or a greedy Itheril Priestess normally they can be found to have human skin tones, or black-Grey skin. Hair color can vary greatly, though those who are the product of Itheril Priestess have white/silver hair. As the half Glabrezu ages, they become more distinctly demonic in their appearance. They can develop any of the following traits, horns, hands that deform into claw like pincers, sharp canine-like teeth, and sometimes [though rare] they can even start to develop dog like facial features such as a small muzzle.

Behavior:

Half Glabrezu tend to be very greedy creatures. They will go to any level to try and further their wealth, power, and reputation. They lust to achieve a greatness no other mortals have seen before. This quest for greatness usually leads to the half demons falling. Most do not live to see old age, but rather die in their attempts at greatness. They are short tempered and quick to raise arms with others. Most Half Glabrezu fall into training as warriors, using their size and muscled bodies to smash their opponents. Some fall into magics, having been introduced to it by their surrogate parent, but not many.

Recommended Classes:
Barbarian, Fighter, Nemesis, Weapons Master, Sorcerer, Wizard

Recommended Alignment:
LE,NE,CE

Recommended Gods:

Raekhan is the most commonly followed god because of the domains of Rage and War.

Drigen is often followed for his domain of Greed.

Valsharess is most often followed by the Half Glabrezu who's surrogate parents were Itheril Priestess although it calls for strong RP reasoning.

Melivar is a rare choice, but some find his domains of Fear and Vengeance help them achieve their goals of Power. Choosing Melivar would require strong RP reasoning.

Half Marilith History:

Mariliths are a strange demon with very unusual physical traits. They love to battle and strategies. They can also be very vengeful creatures. All Mariliths are humanoid females from the waist up. Their lower body is that of a serpents. Mariliths have six arms, which they decorate lavishly in jewels. When in combat each arm holds a weapon, usually swords. For reasons that are yet unknown Mariliths are very attacked to their weapons, and will go to any length of extremes to retrieve a lost or stolen weapon. Mariliths often come to the Common Plane for reasons attached to this. Mortals occasionally, having heard of the power a Mariliths longsword holds, will summon a lesser demon and send them to the Fallen Plane to retrieve one of these magical weapons. The Marilith comes in search of its stolen weapon and punishes the mortal severely, normally by exterminating them, but occasionally they curse them with a child. Though all Mariliths have female torsos, just like any other species there are both male and female. Female Mariliths will bring the cursed half breed back to the mortal once it is born, the Male Mariliths will plant their spawn and return to the Fallen Plane. The Mariliths use mind spells over the mortals to keep them from destroying the half Marilith children. Most Half Mariliths are female.

Appearance:

Half Mariliths normally have the body of the mortal parent, be it elf, human, or other. Normally the half Marilith is a female, though occasionally males are born as well. Skin can vary greatly, anywhere from reddish, to black, to greenish in its tone. Hair can also vary greatly, being almost any color known. Most Half Marilith are born with forked, serpent like tongues, and reptilian eyes. As they age normally scales begin to slowly develop over their lower body. Of all the half demons, the Half Mariliths are the ones that remain the least affected by their demonic traits. They do not grow horns, wings, tails, or any other very obvious traits. Half Mariliths usually hide their most telling trait, scaled lower body, by wearing pants or long skirts.

Behavior:

Half Mariliths tend to be naturals at strategist battle plans but will not hesitate to join in spontaneous mêlée combat if the chance presents itself. They love the feeling they get after winning a well planned battle. They make good leaders for armies. Like their Demon parent, Half Mariliths treasure their weapons, taking great care of them, almost as an obsession. Stealing a Half Mariliths weapon will most likely result in death, as nothing brings out their vengeful side as this act does. Half Mariliths, though loving battle, can mold well into society. Unlike most other half demons, they are not usually afflicted with uncontrollable rage. Having only mild demonic appearances, they can walk through society mostly unbothered
Recommended Classes:

Fighter, Weapons Master, Barbarian, RARELY do Half Mariliths take up magics, as they love the satisfaction of hand to hand combat.

Recommended Alignment:

LE, CE, NE, CN [rarely] Most are LE as they believe Law and Order is necessary in life.

Recommended Gods:

Raekhan- Many choose the path of the War God because of their love for battle.

Melivar- Some choose to follow Melivar because they understand Vengeance well, and feel it is an important part of life.

Other Gods can be followed as well, but there needs to be strong RP reasoning behind it.

Half Succubus/Incubus History

Half Succubi/Incubi were born unto the Common Plane from their full blooded descendants, Succubus and Incubus. The Succubus/Incubus parent most often slips from the Fallen Plane and into the dreams of a chosen victim. It is in this dream state that the demon parent begins to feed off the mortals life force through sensual acts. Most often the feeding is accompanied by the conception of the child by either the Succubi mother, or the victim of the Incubus. The victim rarely dies after their dream encounter with the Succubus/Incubus but will awaken feeling ill, drained, and weakened. This effect lasts in the Succubus victims for only a week, but the women who fall victim to Incubus remain in this drained state through an entire pregnancy as the fetus half breed grows off its hosts life force. The victim very rarely knows they are pregnant until the last stages of pregnancy, showing no signs aside from the constant feeling of weakness. It is after one year that women impregnated by Incubus birth the demon seed. More often than not the demon child is abandoned, as the mother is often shocked, confused, and embarrassed of the apparent immaculate conception of a half demon child.
Succubus who steal the seed of mortal men to produce offspring continue to feed of the male during the incubation period, which is much shorter for pregnant Succubi than it is for mortals carrying half Succubi/Incubi, normally only six months. When the child is born the mothering Succubi once more uses the dreams of her victim to enter the Common Plane, where she leaves her infant, most often on the steps of temples and homes, where the child can be found and reared to adulthood.

Appearance:

Half Succubi/Incubi can vary greatly in appearance but all have heart stopping beauty. As children they vary little from normal mortals in appearance, though some show their heritage sooner than others. As they age their features shift more towards their demonic heritage. In most horns and wings sprout around the time maturity is reached at the age of 20. After that, the traits vary. Some may develop hoofed feet, clawed hands, or may even grow a spaded tail. They come in a variety of skin/hair combinations. Most frequently that is decided by the mortal parents genes. Occasionally the skin of a half Succubi may be tinted red and the hair jet black. Even rarer still is the supposed "albino" half Succubi/Incubi. Though not true albino beings, their skin is white and their eyes are red. The hair of supposed "albinos" is often either red or black. Even as they grow and their appearance becomes more demonic, half Succubi/Incubi continue to have an almost irresistible beauty about them, their face and torso remains almost ageless, maintaining mortal perfection. It is only the limbs that develop demonic appearance with age, but not in every case.

Behavior:

Half Succubi/Incubi inherit much of their behavior and personality from their demonic parents. They are vain, power hungry, manipulative, and cherish combat. Most half Succubi/Incubi reach an almost euphoric state of mind through sensual acts, though unlike their demon parents, it is not needed to sustain them. These half breeds are very often in love with themselves, making it hard for them to hold lasting real relationships with others. They also lust for power, never feeling they have reached greatness, they continuously strive for more status, doing whatever it takes to get them there. Half Succubi/Incubi are fierce in battle, whether they are masters of mêlée combat, or magics. It is part of their insatiable lust for power that they train to be the best they can be, taking great pride in their victories on the battle fields.

Recommended Classes:
Monk, Blackguard, Assassin, Fighter, Barbarian, Sorcerer, and Wizard. (Although they range and vary greatly in skill)

Required Alignment:
LE, NE, CE, CN But most demons are CE (A Good half-demon may occur but it is something beyond a rare occasion)
Recommended Gods:
A small handful follow Draxil as one of his domains is Dreams, and without Dreams they never would have come to be. Those that do follow him are most often CN.
Very few follow Verinia. Half Succubi/Incubi are rather vain and are in love with themselves. They enjoy her domains of Beauty and Love, feeling they are physical embodiments of them. Those who do follow Verinia are most often CN
Some chose to follow Karissa, as most half Succubi/Incubi gain a euphoric state of mind through sensual acts. They favor her domains of Lust and Manipulation.
Others might choose the path of Melivar. Having suffered much of their lives as half demons and outcasts they seek revenge. They take great joy in brining Misery and Vengeance to mortals that once brought the same thing down upon them.
A large number find themselves following Raekhan as they have inherited their demon parents desire to destroy life. They revel in his domains of War, Destruction, and Rage.
Other Gods might be worshiped, but it is rare.

Shadow Demons
Deep in the Fallen Mount, in the cracks and crevices of the charred and tainted soil, there is a large system of caves. No light has ever touched the inky darkness of these caves, and without the case of a miracle, never will. The walls of these caves whisper the demise of man, and cackle their part in it.

Shadow demons have, as their name suggests, always been working behind the scenes amongst the other more bold demons. They are shadows in the true meaning of the word, with no true shape except that of a blot of darkness. But this form has never been seen by mortal eyes, since they never leave the darkness; lest they seek to perish. They can take any shape they like, but it is always dark as a starless sky and the stuff of nightmares with fangs, claws, and spines.

Another peculiar thing, is that there is always a set amount of shadow demons. Being merely incorporeal shadows they can’t procreate. But, should one of these demons die their dark essence will spill into a new shadow and so create a new monster.

Of course, shadow demons sometimes leave the Mount, or are summoned by demonologists just as much as other demons are. Sometimes they take a liking to the common realm’s darker folk and stay by their side, tempting them to do evil. More often than not the ‘host’ doesn’t even know of the demon, since they take the place of their temptee’s shadow.

Due to their incorporeal shadow nature, no half shadow demons exist... at least not in the conventional sense of the word. If by luck, the dark essence of a dead shadow demon is captured in a glass bottle blessed by a priest of Drigen and ingested, the drinker is said to become part shadow demon, However, there are no records to prove this claim true.

Half Mane Demon

Of all demons that dwell in the Planes, Mane demons are the lowest in society. They are said to have no will of their own, and as such they are usually used as slaves to Demon Lords in the Fallen Plane. As such they provide services as butlers, guards, and other menial labor. Most often they are used to make up ones personal army, of sorts. They are reckless in their actions and obied by the laws and rules of their masters and leaders. Influenced mostly by fear, not reward, they will serve anyone for any purpose, so long as they remain living in fear of their master or leader. In society among demons, if a ritual sacrifice is needed these demons are called upon. In army's they rank as only the lowest soldier possible, taking the front line, and facing almost certain death in combat. Mane Demons are the Disposable Ones of the Fallen Plane.

Appearance:

Due to their heritage from full Mane demons and Halflings only, Half manes are short and most often, fat little beings. They are repulsive in looks. They are disfigured forms of small men. Their face quite like that of a sows. A piggish nose, beady black eyes, and fleshy jowls. The only ones to appreciate their looks are their own kind, and maybe a drunkard.Their skin is most often a fleshy pink hue, sometimes pale, other times a deep pink-peach. In some rare cases the skin might be blackish grey, or even a combination of three stripes, two black, and between them a fleshy pink. The hair often coincides with the flesh. A pinkish skinned Half Mane will have white hair. A black skinned will have gray-black hair. The hair is straggly and wireish, mush like the coarse hair of a sow. Half Manes are often called Pig Halflings, though the genetics are quite different from Halflings, and noting like a pig. Only sharing the same genetics as their distant Halflings relatives.

Behavior:

It is mostly unknown how Half Manes came to be among the Mortal Plane, but once there was one male and on female, they began procreating without further full demon blood. Half mane demons are one of few demon species to look solely for their own kind, not needing a full Mane demon to birth a half blood to sustain the race. Half Manes take most, and in some cases, all the physical and personality traits from their full demon heritage. They are fully submissive creatures, being ruled through fear and never kindness. A Half Mane will quickly and easily abuse those who are kind and rewarding. Fear keeps them in line and, essentially, alive. They tend to be kept as house servants or used as filler in armies. Rumor has it the first Half Manes were born of Halflings, and that is the only other race to have birthed/fathered Half manes. Half Manes are not bright creatures, rarely being given the opportunity in life to learn school knowledge. They are, how ever, street smart..having much Life Wisdom.

Recommended Classes:

Fighters are about 90% of the race. Though under the guidance of their Leader/Master, any class is feasible. Due to their slow wit and lack of will magic classes are EXTREMELY RARE.

Alignment:
CN, NE, and some are LE [most rare alignment]

Deities:

Half Manes RARELY follow a god. Having no Will, they either can not choose one, or when they do, they never stick to it. Usually if they do follow a god, it is going to be that of their Master/Leader.

OOC:
MUST use Halflings race base. NO EXCEPTIONS!

Half Armanite

Armanite demons resemble Centaurs, though there are some distinct differences. They are much larger compared to the Centaur race. Smoke flares from their breath, smelling bitterly of sulfur and brimstone. Their horse body is full and well muscled, though the human torso and head a slender and sunken, covered lightly in muscle. It always appears that the body is covered in plate armor on the back of the equine body, and the torso of the human form. This is not armor, but protruding bone structures that have hardened greatly as the demons evolved. As a single creature, they are formidable and a terrifying sight. As an army they are an almost impossible enemy. They are one of a handful of demons that enjoy a social way of living. They live in well discipled groups led by a General, the wisest and strongest of their particular heard. Because of there surprising mount of discipline they are often hired as Mercenaries, on both the Fallen Plane, and the Mortal Plane.

Appearance:

Half Armanite came to be by pure accident. It began with a badly deformed Full Armanite. The creature was born lacking the equine body that distinguishes the species. Its legs were like a horse, hoofed and all, but set atop its horse like legs, was a human body. It was cast out of the Fallen plane, accused of being a impure conception. The creature was raised as an orphan among a tribe of orcs. This is the Armanite that began the Half Armanite sub race of demon. Half Armanite remained in appearance as the First had. The legs and tail of a horse, the body of man. They remain the same physically through their life, not gaining or loosing any physical traits. The top portion of a Half Armanite always resembles the none demon parent, be it orc, human, elf, or itheril. The equine form can be any array of colors found in the horse world. Their hair always matches the color of the fur.[or one color in a paint or spotted case]

Behavior:

Half Armanite are a social being among their own, but among enemies they can be highly aggressive and combative. When in a guild, they treat the guilmembers as they would their "herd". They are well disciplined, taking well to structured environments. They make grand leaders in battle and are often well decorated for their efforts. They can blend into society seamlessly. The only give away is the plate like bone structures that rest under the skin, unlike the full Armanite, whose is above the skin. Their personalities are mostly unremarkable, unless when arguing or fighting.

Recommended classes:

Any mêlée class is accepted. As are PCs that are considered mêlée.

Recommended Gods:

Reakhan for their superiority in War.
Melivar for his Pillars of Fear and Vengeance.[strong rp needed to base this]
Others are RARELY acknowledged let alone worshiped.

Alignment:
LE, LN [RARE AND NEEDS RP JUSTIFICATION], NE

Half Goristro

Goristro demons are huge demons that have the body of man, and the head of a Bison. They are similar in size to a Minator..maybe only a slight bit taller. Goristros are quite a rude and belligerent breed of demon. They live to insult and degrade the worth of others. They do not just behave in this fashion to their enemies, their rude behavior has no limits. Aside from the Mane demons, Goristro are considered the least intelligent. Their insults are simple but effective, and their belligerent foolishness shows well their lack of smarts. They are also overwhelmingly violent, looking to stir up a fight anytime, anywhere. This includes traveling across the Planes to find one. Their violence is mindless, and completely lacks plot, intricate battle, or ulterior motive. They fight for the sake of a fight, having no other way to promote themselves.

Appearance:

Half Goristro have evolved from their Demon relatives visiting the Mortal Plane more than any other demon. Sometimes they are even summoned for revenge purposes, but fail due to their erratic behavior and lack of planned attacks. Physically the look very much human, having only three tell tale signs. A black, flat nose of a bison, always pierced no matter the gender, cow like ears, and the horns of a bison. They are not born with horns, but they grow gradually during life, needing constant upkeep to prevent them from growing back into the skull, a fatal condition. Due to this, elderly feeble Half Goristro tend to die from this affliction. Their skin and hair are usually tan to black, though skin can also attain normal human tones. Half Goristro are massive, like a large Orc. Miniature size is considered human proportions. They are heavily muscled and usually badly scarred.

Behavior:

Loners by every sense of the word. It is to the point of complete hostility in the presence of others. Their behavior mirrors that of their demon relatives, no matter the other race in their blood. Rude, belligerent, lacking intelligence, no social manners. The despise companionship and feel the emotions that evolve friendships and love are weak. They are sterile creatures, therefor find no interest in sexual desires. They are not capable of working with others outside of an army setting.

Recommended Class:

Barbarian, but other mêlée classes accepted. Magic is entirely beyond their abilities, as are most PC.

Recommended Alignments:

CE ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gods:

Reakhan is the only God they understand and recognize. They either follow him, or remain godless, but respect his Domains.

OOC:
Race base MUST be either Orc or Human

Half Balor

Balors, plain and simply, are second in power to only the Demon Lords themselves. They, above all, are most feared and revered by mortals and half demons alike. Balors live to lead, destroy, and grow in power. Their desire to further themselves is endless, happy with no achievements. The more they get, the more they want. They are said to be in excess of 11ft tall. There massive size has given them incredible skills in combat Their expertise lies in handling swords, both long swords, and bastage swords, as well as whips. They most often are found in armies and masses of their own kind, seeking out organized evil, even though they are a chaotic creature. They have an extremely high ability to draw other demons to them, though it is unknown how. Some say the demon blood that lingers in the veins of half demons can not resist the call of the blood of a half Balor. That theory is still unproven. Balor demons also have a masters control of Fire, engulfing their bodies in it at any moment they desire to do so. Most often they will be seem lit aflame.

Appearance:

Half Balors are born large, but other than that, fairly normal looking. Their skin may be tinted reddish if they inherit that from the Demonic parent, but most often their skin is that of the Mortal parent. As the child reaches adolescence they will develop horns. As an adult, a tail and a set of wings can emerge..sometimes both, or sometimes just one or the other. As they grow older the skin tone will deepen, ending up a deep red. Balors age fairly slowly after they hit adolescence [age 27]. Thus keeping their appearance youthful. Some adult Half Balors will grow talons/claws, some might even develop a venomous bite, though that has been documented only a handful of time. The hair can be any color of the spectrum. The average Half Balor will stand between human and orc height. If the other race in them is orc or human, they will be orc sized, for any other race they will be human size, though it is unknown about Halflings, as it has never been documented.

Behavior:

As their ancestors were second to one, half Balors have this feeling of privilege about them. A superiority complex that, often enough, is just. They enjoy company of those like themselves, a chaotic evil sort. They love the power of battle, finding it to be fulfilling as a kitsune finds physical contact. It is a natural high for them, when locked in battle with another. They strive to be one step better than everyone. Their lust for power never ends, only growing stronger as they age. Also, as they age their attraction to fire changes. As adolescents they are drawn to fire, finding it to be calming. Adolescents can fall into a trance like state when they stare into the leaping flames of a fire. As adults this unusual attraction becomes a dangerous obsession. Though they can not usually control fire with magic, they tend to be pyromaniacs, setting anything ablaze. Usually this is reserved for enemy grounds, but occasionally it is not discriminate, lighting fire to anything. Half Balors anger easy and can fall into rages, but it is not as prominent in them as it is many other demons. They can control their rage well when it is required. Many have Balors also enjoy the art of corruption, but their numbers are far less than those that strive for power through battle.

Recommended Classes:
Fighter, Barbarian, Rouge [FEW], Assassin, WM, RDD, Sorcerer [Few but as Half Balors have high Char in most cases, its a fitting choice], Nemesis [the most popular PC for Half Balors]

Alignment:
CE mainly..some LE...very few NE

Recommended Gods:

Reakhan- The first and foremost for most Half Balors. Every one of his Domains is a part of what a Half Balor is. The destruction, the rage, the need for victorious war, the chaos that rules them.

Melivar- Second choice for many, they enjoy his Pillars of Evil, Misery, and Sorrow. They, while appreciating Vengeance, prefer the other three.

Drigen- Fewer than few choose Drigen as their Deity. Those that do are the Half Balors that rate corruption above war. [STRONG RP TO JUSTIFY THIS REQUIRED]

Half Babau

Babau are a very different kind of Demon. They are tall and lean, practically skeletons. They are long limbed, making their proportions a bit bizarre. Although there looks would make anyone think undead or necromancer, they are neither. Nor do they usually have anything to do with necromancy. Babaus are grade a sneaks and assassins. Everything they do is careful, deliberate, and well planned. They tent to shy away from combat, leaving it for a last resort. Babau are fairly neutral in their view of other demons, they tend to get along best with Succubi and least with Glabrezu, Nalfeshnee, and Vrocks. A Babau will actually go out of their way to feast upon a Nalfeshnee. They use their Strong abilities in the field of assassins to help. As assassins they are experts in hiding, moving without making noise, listening, searching for tips and clues, as well as making sneak attacks without being detected. When it comes time to do real harm to their opponents, Babau will fall into Mêlée combat. A slimy substance that their skin produces can help in combat, making them a slippery foe. Babau are often hired as hit men, their skills in the Fallen Plane are no secret. It is on the Mortal Plane where the most damage can be done. On the Fallen Plane, many Demon Lords partake in wagers on important Mortals. In these cases, these Lords will secure themselves a Babau to help turn the odds in their favor. It is here that the Babau comes to be on the Mortal Plane. This is were they are most dangerous. Seen often as zombies, mortals tend to be caught off guard. When and how exactly the Babau managed to begin the Half Babaus line is still unknown.

Appearance:

Of all the Half Demons, Babau are perhaps one of the most disturbing. They are born looking as a under developed human baby. Their skin is usually a shocking shade of brownish-red and black. The same colors of a decomposing form. It is normally here that unfortunate mothers to these half demons abandon the apparent lifeless body. More often than not, after perhaps a day, if the baby half demon has survived, signs of life come on. Crying inconsolably, eventually it will attract attention. As they grow, their limbs become unproportionally long, like the limbs of an ape. They never seem more than bones covered tightly in decomposing flesh. As adolescents they glands fully mature and begin to produce a putrid smelling substance. For full Babau this substance is like a gel, but in the diluted genes, for Babau it is just a slick oily substance. All of these traits combine to give the guise of Undead. As adolescents they will develop a horn atop the middle of their head. Their skin is always the muttle of brown.red. and black but the hair can be many colors, from white, to blond, to green.

Behavior:

Half Babaus are sneaks, spies, and assassins. Though similar to a Quazit in its behavior, the Babau do these things for more than thrills. Babau always have an ulterior motive, whether it is gold for a job well done, or revenge. Half Babau are fairly social with the outer world, because they attempt to make a living off of their skills. They hire themselves out as often as they can. Half Babaus do not hold the typical rage that controls most Half Demons, they are cunning and calculated. Much like their demons ancestors, they are obsessive planners. They will even test assassination plots, or spying on the unsuspecting innocent. The deep seated hatred for Glabrezu and the taste for Nalfeshnee is so strong that even in the form of Half Demons, they carry these feelings to the Half Demons as well. They often make a point to seek out these two half breeds specifically.

Recommended Classes:
Rouge, Ranger, Assassin, Soul weaver, Shadow Dancer, Bard [rare but acceptable]

Recommended Alignment:
NE, CE, RARELY CN

Recommended Gods:
DRIGEN IS IT. His love of all things sneaky brings Half Babau to him in droves. None of the other Gods are superior in the eyes of a Babau.

Half Bebilith Demon History:

Bebilith are gigantic arachnid demons that dwell the vast expanses of Har'oloth. They have a mottled but armoured appearance, allowing them to hide effectively in shaded areas and quickly surprise their unlucky victims in an assault of physical strength. Their most dangerous weapon, however, is the poison that forms in two glands near their thin, razor-sharp fangs. The injection of a few drops of this poison is normally enough to kill even the strongest of mortals, although the death is an extended and painful process.
Due to their non-humanoid shape, there is no way that Bebilith can mate with humanoids to produce offspring. However, Priestesses of Valsharess, intrigued by the stealth and prowess of the spider-demons, have devised a way of their own to incorporate some of the otherworldly strength of these creatures in mortal Itheril. The process is a dangerous and horrendously painful one, which is the reason that there are few Itheril infused with the Bebilith essence, and those who do exist are usually born from slaves.
Although technically the creatures made through this process are not actually of Bebilith blood, the characteristics they obtain are so closely linked to the spider-demons that they are usually referred to as Half-Bebilith.

The first Half-Bebilith was created by accident. Vlon'quarra, a strong and devoted warrioress of an ancient Ilythiiri House, was bitten by a Bebilith during an expansion campaign in a still undiscovered part of Har'oloth. Because she retained her voice and sanity despite the poison taking its toll, her fellow warriors carried her back to the Temple of Valsharess. There, her younger sister who had become a Priestess cared for her, attempting to cure her of the lethal poison.
It was an ill-kept secret that Vlon'quarra was two months pregnant when she left on her campaign, and her sister was aware of the risks. Frightened of what the poison would do to the child, the priestess silently hoped for the death of mother and child. But Vlon'quarra was strong, and with the aid of the temple's healers she was able to hold off the poison's effects for several months.
The child was born several weeks prematurely, but seemed to be healthy. The mother, exhausted from fighting the poison, could not handle the stress of giving birth and died minutes after laying eyes on her daughter. The child looked normal at first, but after a few days the signs of the poison's effect became visible. Her hair was a sickly moss-green instead of the pure white that is usual for Ilythiiri, she had sharp, pointy teeth and her eyes were red - a colour so deep that it seemed to bleed into the whites of her eyes.
When she was a few years old, she started to show secondary signs of her condition. A sticky, gooey substance would form on her extremities, somewhat like spider webs though not quite as substantial. She quickly developed a talent for using the shadows to her advantage, and when she grew older she became a very skilled warrior. By the time she had reached maturity, her peers thought her blessed by the Spider Queen for her gifts. The story of Vlon'quarra was recorded in the temple, and since then several priestesses have tried to 'create' similar children to give their House some additional glory.

In most known cases, a pregnant slave is found for the process. She is carried to a captured Bebilith to be bitten, and is then taken to a Temple room where she is carefully kept alive. On many attempts, the child or the mother will die before the end of the pregnancy. On most attempts, the mother will die after the child is born.

Appearance:
Half-Bebilith look a lot like their natural Itheril parents. However, their hair will take on an odd shade somewhere between yellow, brown and green. Their eyes are either red or poisonous green, their irises are larger than normal and tend to fill up almost the entire eye. They are usually thin, bony creatures, slightly taller than the average Itheril. A sticky web-like substance is excreted from their fingertips, although not strong enough to turn into an actual web.

Behavior:
Half-Bebilith are quiet, calculating and cunning creatures. They like to strike quickly and lethally, and tend to prefer using the types of weapons that fit that style: daggers, rapiers, kama's, kukri's. They are fond of physical combat and have a knack for tactical thinking. They love to use poisons, and are often exceptionally resistant to being poisoned.

Recommended Classes:
Rogue, Assassin, Nemesis, Monk, Ranger, Fighter

Recommended Gods:
Nearly all Half-Bebilith are born from Itheril parents and will follow Valsharess with unwavering devotion. Should one of them break away from the world they were born in, they might feel drawn to Raekhan for his love of warfare, or Drigen for his fondness of poisons and subtlety.

Alignment:
Lawful Evil, Neutral Evil
